We were long overdue for a mattress upgrade—and as small business owners always on the lookout for high-quality, sustainable products to recommend or offer through our own shops, we saw our travels as the perfect chance to explore something new. On our recent adventure through Thailand and Bali, we came across Orenda Sleep, a natural latex bedding company based in Thailand that checked all our boxes: long-lasting durability, clean ingredients, and allergy-friendly design.
What started as a personal quest for better sleep turned into a fascinating behind-the-scenes experience as we toured their factory, learned about their production process, and got to try out the products ourselves. Spoiler: we didn’t leave empty-handed.

Walking through the Orenda factory, we witnessed firsthand the meticulous process of transforming pure natural latex into luxurious bedding. Shipping from Thailand to New York was surprisingly quick.
We placed our order directly at the factory on May 24th, and by May 30th, our package had already arrived at our doorstep. Everything was securely packed—each item was vacuum-sealed and wrapped in protective plastic to guard against the elements. We initially expected international shipping to take much longer, but Orenda exceeded our expectations in both speed and care.

Limited Availability
Currently, Orenda’s products are mostly sold within Thailand, which makes ordering from abroad a bit more complicated—though we hope this changes soon.
Higher Price Point
Quality comes at a cost. Our total came to around $1,400, including two pillows, a mattress, a complimentary throw, and international shipping to New York. Still, when compared to high-end U.S. latex mattress brands, the price is quite reasonable for what you get.
Additional Base Required
Depending on the mattress thickness you choose, you'll likely need a solid box spring or platform base for proper support. Orenda doesn’t sell these directly, so if you don’t already own one, it’s an extra cost to factor in. That said, most new mattress purchases—latex or otherwise—typically require the same.
Comparison with Other Products
Compared to other latex bedding options we've tried, Orenda's products stand out for their meticulous craftsmanship and innovative technology. While brands like Avocado and SleepOnLatex offer quality products, Orenda's focus on research-backed design and natural materials gives them an edge.

A full year has passed since we brought our Orenda mattress and pillows home, and we can confidently say: it was one of the best investments we’ve made for our well-being. The mattress has held up exactly as promised—no sagging, no issues, just consistent, comfortable support every night. It’s improved our sleep more than we expected, proving that a good night's rest is just as essential as a balanced diet or taking time off to recharge on vacation.
